    Automotive radar interference testing

The R&S ATS1500C antenna test chamber is a compact antenna test range (CATR) for testing automotive radar sensors under far field conditions. When combined with the R&S AREG800A automotive radar echo generator and an R&S SMW200A vector signal generator, it can be used for a variety of automotive radar sensor relevant applications, including antenna characterization, functional radar validation, interference testing, ETSI RED and FCC in-band pre-compliance testing and angle of arrival calibration. The system is the complete solution for all necessary RF tests before automotive radar sensor mass production.

    Ultra-wideband test solutions

Rohde & Schwarz supports the further development of an open and standardized UWB ecosystem for automotive applications. UWB is suitable for vehicle access & start control, sharing digital car keys, hands-free payment, indoor navigation and parking assistance. Testing the performance of UWB modules and devices is important in the lab and on the production line to ensure compatibility and correct operation. In combination with Rohde & Schwarz shielded chambers, the R&S CMP200 radio communication tester offers a complete solution for the transmitter, receiver, time of flight (ToF) and angle of arrival (AoA) measurements in conducted and radiated mode, compliant with IEEE 802.15.4a/z specifications and able to conduct UWB FiRa Consortium certification measurements.

    5G TCU development

The R&S CMX500 one-box radiocommunications tester provides high-performance 5G automotive measurements with comprehensive test coverage including RF, protocol and application testing. It covers the entire integration cycle from chipsets to TCUs and complete vehicles. The R&S CMX500 provides extensive testing capability, supporting all 5G NR deployments covering LTE, 5G NR FR1 and also FR2 in non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) mode, with an effortless setup and outstanding performance. The 5G tester reaches its market-leading high performance with its ability to handle data rates of 10 Gbps and beyond.

    10BASE-T1S Automotive Ethernet compliance

Developments in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and high-powered entertainment applications are driving up automotive data rates. As they grow, it becomes increasingly important to ensure the quality and performance of the cables and components of the communication channel. Automotive Ethernet is a key enabler for high data rate applications, as well as for data backbone, connecting different domain controllers. The R&S RTO6 oscilloscope from Rohde & Schwarz enables compliance testing on the next evolution of the automotive Ethernet standard up to MultiGigBASE-T1.

    Radome and bumper material analysis

Together with its partner Löhnert Elektronik, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate a fully automated turnkey solution for bumper production radar transparency testing based on the successful R&S QAR50. The lightweight and compact setup of the R&S QAR50-R facilitates precise positioning of the measurement antennas, allowing faster, more accurate and more convenient testing. Due to its design, it reaches positions that could hardly be handled with other available test systems. This leads to higher throughput and yields as well as more flexibility to adapt to different DUTs, for end-of-line (EOL) measurements of bumpers and other exterior parts.
