Breakthrough Performance Reported by Vehicle Manufacturers Testing StoreDot’s XFC Battery Cells

StoreDot’s highly efficient, rapidly charging high-energy batteries have undergone extensive examination for six months on a global scale. They have been rigorously tested by 15 prominent automotive manufacturers across Europe, Asia, and the US, along with StoreDot’s ecosystem partners. During the initial evaluation and integration tests, the batteries showcased exceptional performance and received exceptional feedback. The results surpassed expectations, as confirmed by the manufacturers who have concluded the testing phase.

The primary objective of the analysis has been to reproduce StoreDot’s distinctive specifications for ultra-fast charging, tailored to the specific requirements and testing protocols of their partners. Through the replication of StoreDot’s results, the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and partners achieved an energy density exceeding 300Wh/kg, with a charging rate surpassing 4C, and successfully completed more than 1,000 consecutive extreme fast charging (XFC) cycles.

The programs consisted of two primary components. The first component involved verifying the XFC data sheet and specifications through StoreDot’s meticulous testing procedures. The second component focused on implementing EV-OEM test protocols specific to critical performance and safety parameters relevant to their respective applications.

Several OEMs have advanced to the second phase of testing, which entails the launch of B-Samples programs customized to their unique form factor and specific needs. This progression aims to facilitate the seamless integration of StoreDot’s technology into the electric vehicle (EV) architecture of each OEM, ensuring compatibility and future implementation.

Amir Tirosh, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of StoreDot, conveyed a strong belief in StoreDot’s XFC technology. The thorough testing procedures have confirmed the ability to charge the battery from 10% to 80% within a remarkable 10-minute timeframe. This exceptional feedback received from global EV manufacturers further solidifies their confidence in this revolutionary product.

The positive results of StoreDot’s battery cells have left their partners highly satisfied, as they demonstrate unprecedented energy density levels and charging times. These advancements are poised to transform the entire industry. The testing outcomes validate the value proposition of XFC, addressing concerns related to range and charging anxiety while enabling OEMs to design electric vehicles (EVs) with smaller pack sizes that can be charged within minutes.

With the capability to utilize standard Li-ion manufacturing lines owned by the partners themselves or through subcontractors, StoreDot’s success paves the way for immediate collaboration on B-samples with their partners.
