    Auto EV India Expo

TimeEV: Provide an overview of advanced features of the auto headlamp system used in your electric vehicles. How does it enhance safety and convenience for drivers?

Mr Pushkaraj Salunke: In the forthcoming era of EV two-wheelers, preserving every unit of energy and extending the EV’s range without increasing the battery size will be crucial. Merely enlarging the battery is not an elegant solution. Our auto headlamp feature is just one of the initial small steps we’ve taken. We aim to cater to a market segment seeking a high-quality product at an affordable price. These features slightly impact the vehicle’s cost, but their implications extend far beyond; they can even lead to reduced battery replacement expenses compared to other EVs in the future.

TimeEV: What kind of predictive maintenance capabilities are incorporated into the dual suspension system to ensure long-term reliability and performance?

Mr Pushkaraj Salunke: We have equipped the vehicle with a state-of-the-art telematics control unit, gathering a vast amount of data points from its operations. This wealth of information allows us to predict certain types of damages based on critical details like total travel distance and frequency of use. For instance, if a vehicle is frequently used for long distances, we can anticipate tire wear as a common issue. On the other hand, if a vehicle is rarely used, there may still be potential problems, such as tire cracking. Leveraging this comprehensive data, we have developed an analytical layer that provides valuable insights into effective vehicle usage and offers tips for improvement to the user. When dealing with data, we prioritize various crucial factors. Data must be of high quality, relevant, and have the appropriate frequency to effectively support our models. This approach not only enhances the predictability of existing vehicles but also lays a strong foundation for future product development. Through the integration of AI-based models, we expedite this process, enabling us to stay agile and meet the dynamic demands of the market.

TimeEV: How does your company envision incorporating Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, AI, and big data analytics, into your automotive manufacturing processes?

Mr Pushkaraj Salunke: Before diving into manufacturing, we emphasize the importance of developing robust SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). With the guidance of experienced individuals like Mr Joshi, who has over 40 years of leadership experience in large organizations, we meticulously oversee every process. As a tech company, we have implemented traceability processes for all critical components, utilizing user-friendly Industry 4.0 technology. Once the fleets hit the roads for substantial distances, big data will play a significant role. We will make minor adjustments to the manufacturing process to address any field-related issues that may arise.

TimeEV: How is the portable battery equipped with features like fast charging and thermal management to address common concerns related to EV batteries?

Mr Pushkaraj Salunke: India being a diverse country presents various changes, from the deserts of Rajasthan to the Snow of J&K to the Heavy rains of Uttarakhand to the humidity of Chennai. All these conditions affect a battery in their own way and have to be accounted for. We at Revamp are taking maximum precautions in the design process itself to arrest issues even before they occur. All the vehicle parameters and Battery parameters are collected every minute. This data also predicts the battery’s behaviour and its evolution over time.
