What To Do If The Electric Car Is Flooded?

    Introduction

During Rainy Season, you will encounter many problems caused by the rain. Because many public charging stations are mostly used in the open air, it is inevitable that it will rain suddenly after going to work in the morning to charge. In this case, it is often too late to run out to cover electric vehicles at such times. Although manufacturers will do waterproof treatment, it will cause water accumulation after a long time.

On rainy days, many electric vehicles are parked outdoors, and many owners don’t agree with it, and there is nothing to cover it. However, once the electric bicycle is infiltrated by rain, it will have an impact on motor controllers, motors, and batteries. It is understood that although the motor controller is a waterproof design, it is usually not particularly waterproof, and it may directly cause the controller to burn down due to the water intake of the controller. If the motor enters the water, the joint will be short-circuited. If water is in the battery box, it will directly cause positive and negative extremely short circuits. The slight consequences are damage to the battery, and the most serious consequences will directly cause the battery to burn or even explode

What should we do if the electric vehicle enters the water?

    1. The battery is soaked to dry and recharged. Various brands of electric vehicles have taken a lot of waterproof measures, so it doesn’t matter if electric vehicles are wet by the rain, but this does not mean that electric vehicles can “walk through the water” at will. I would like to remind car owners not to charge their electric vehicle batteries immediately after being wet by the rain. Be sure to keep the car ventilated to dry before charging.
    2. The controller is easy gets out of control by a short circuit. The water intake of the controller of the battery car is easy to cause the motor to reverse. After the electric vehicle is seriously soaked, the owner can remove the controller, dry the accumulated water inside, blow it dry with a hairdryer, and install it. After installation, it is best to wrap the controller with plastic to increase the waterproof capacity
    3. When an electric vehicle wades into the water, the water resistance is very large, which is easy to cause balances out of control. Riding on the stagnant water section is very dangerous if you encounter a manhole cover that is opened by the water flow. Therefore, it is better to get out of the car and implement it in the accumulated road section

    Conclusion

In addition, try to use electric vehicles as little as possible on rainy days. When parked outdoors, it is best to cover it with a raincoat. If it is charging, it is best to protect the charger plug with a plastic bag to prevent water from entering and accidentally electrocuting. No matter where there is an appeal, you should be careful not to take your own affairs seriously.
